My life has been a journey through places and experiences I have had.  I have lived in a number of Pacific islands and also multiple places in Australia. I have used the memory of these places to inspire some of my artwork.

The development of my abilities was from hours of illustrating stories and all the classes and educational experiences I had at various schools and at TAFE and University. Art has been the main interest since I was very small. I have always enjoyed illustrating and the ideas for my work originally were from the stories I created and the character and places in these stories were always drawn carefully due to my inability to describe them in written forms.

I also have developed an interest in patterns from observing the indigenous tattoos and markings used by artists in the islands I lived (Samoan tattoos in particular) as I review my older pieces there is a strong echo of this influence.

Changes in my artworks are due to various assignments and projects set by both TAFE and University that created and developed new ideas for my art.

My interest in jewellery making and beading inspired my interest in mathematical art. This started with an interest in fractals and in mathematical based artworks and their repetition of patterns.  But more recently I have become interested in rhythmic patterns also known as zentangle which is a methodical pattern based artwork designed to lull the artist and calm the spirit.
