Landscape 2014

Fantasy landscapes , produced digitally, were inspired by Lara’s fantasy writing as these landscape images feature in her stories. The fantasy aspect of these landscape lye in the creation of infinite space within the layers of the picture plane; as if the viewer can drift beyond the background..

"rocky hill and vast mountains, the landscape is foreboding and not inviting to those of weary constitution"	use the rocky hill image I use a over lay pattern I made of fire to make the mountains seem more daunting and unwelcoming to anyone unwise enough to consider journeying across its surface	Using us kaleidoscope technique in photoshop using a small drawing I made out of patterns and watercolour this image was created to be eye-catching an unusual
‘ravine of souls’ "a dark sky with ominous cloud formations with a cleared centre showing where the gods look down on the unworthy overlook a wasteland of sharp rocks like spikes and many deep abysses "	'the tree seem to sing of lost people and hidden things long lost to time and to the dark side of nature"	Riverend this the large free flowing river Tronmile it started it journey in the icy mountains of Corvale it has been noted by locals and travellers alike the water stay so cold that even in heart of summer you can get frostbite
Mysterious forest is foreboding as it should be for weary travellers as it hide may thing with in it depth beware soft appearance of the moss lay in wait to feed on the bleed the unwise traveller that seeks a soft place to lie down	“Hidden the darkest water way in the forest of Vill the smaller two islands of the northern coasts of Tronmile is a ancient magic, unlike most magic from the lady it is not a gift but a curse it is radiance, and lowers its victims by clear and clean look water but if you are fooled by its beauty your death will feed its power”

This gallery consists of a selection of my patterned line art which I have been working sence last year it has echoes of zentangle art and that of islander tattoo mix throughout the works each artwork has been kaleidoscope with itself to make these image

Shell Illustrations 2014

Artwork showcases the combination of fine art and computer drawing techniques, as some of the line drawings have been scanned and infinitely repeated, graduated and faded using the smudge tool with a Wacom tablet within the Adobe Photoshop program.

The artworks in Lara’s portfolio of Shell drawings produced digitally and manually were inpired by her life in beach settings, her experience with zentangle patterns, her interest in Samoan/Pacific Islander tattooing and knowledge of other artists producing similar designs.

shell 0 This first image was using oil pastels its colour were modified in Photoshop because it was too bright that it hurt my eye to look at for long periods of time	shell 1 this shell is as big a my hand hidden in it dark parts is some of pattern work show case in the gallery below	shell 2 this is my favourite work in these shell I like the mix of contrast colours from yellow to purple
shell 3 I broke part of this shell when I put it back in to the antique crystal cabinet I wonder how long it will be till someone notices hidden in it dark parts is some of pattern work show case in the gallery below	shell 4 the pattern on this image was the I draw on my new just for this image	shell 5 I made this one black and white to show case the details in the patterns I did for this work
shell 6 These shell took me the longest to make it outcome was the second most dramatic of the shells this shell in real life is as big as my head	shell 7 This was the last one made and it show all the skill I need to use to produce each individual shell

2012

This gallery showcases a small selection from 2012 including a larger copy of shjar the wolf and an ink drawing of a tree I did at university.

2011 2011 I was moving from 2d to 3d for the first time in my artworks. This year was a colourful mix of improvements on my existing skills. 2011

This is a small gallery showcasing the best works of that year including Utopia and Dystopia. Both were displayed that year in galleries.

2010 Studying photography at this time bled through everything I produced but had no lasting impact as my interests were elsewhere.	2009 The first year of University I sadly didn't learn anything new at the uni at this point so there was little improvement of my skills. I did start a short term interest in video manipulation.	2008 This was the year I came up with my black bird logo. A lot of work at this time was exploring the use of the displacement tool in photoshop and mixong photo with drawings.
2007 This year was the year I started taking Photoshop class at TAFE, I did spend a lot of time teaching the lecturer and helping other students. I have found my skills improved exponentially. This was also the year I moved from Photoshop version 7 to CS3 as well as experimenting with Corel programs,	2005-2006 Again this is a mix of all the work made digitally from 2005 to 2006. I begin to step away from Windows paint and began the long and arduous journey through self taught Photoshop. Also at this time I stop using clip art images and started using my own drawings.	1999-2004 This image is a full collection of all digital work I did from 1999 to 2004. The images are made in paint from windows 98 and earlier versions and use a mix of clip art and the paints cut tool and my first tentative experiments with Photoshop version 7

2010 to 1999

This gallery is a collection of the all the digtal works I did for each year starting in 1999 when I starting playing around in paint. Each image has a short statement about part of the works in each of the collections.
